Create classroom libraries

District-level administrators can create empty classroom libraries for teachers by importing a CSV file. Once they are created, teachers can claim them and fill them with titles.

Notes:

  • You have to create classroom libraries before you can add titles to them.

To create classroom libraries:

  1. Log in to Destiny as a district-level administrator.
  2. From the primary navigation bar, select Applications menu icon. > Classroom Library. The Classroom Directory page appears.
  3. From the sidebar, click Settings.
  4. In the Import classrooms, titles, and audience levels row, click Collapsible menu icon..
  5. From the Task drop-down, select Create Classroom Libraries.

    Note: If you need an import template for your classroom libraries, click Get Import Template. From the pop-up that appears, click Download Template. The template downloads to your browser.

  6. Click Browse, and then select the desired CSV file from your computer.
  7. Click Import. The number of libraries added appears.

Note: If classroom libraries cannot be assigned to a valid location, a message lets you know you have unclaimed libraries. To see those libraries, click View unclaimed list now. You will be redirected to the Unclaimed District-Imported Classrooms page.
