Resolve duplicate titles

If your classroom libraries contain several title records for the same item, district and site-level administrators can select the best one and either remove the duplicates or merge them.

Important: Removing duplicate records is permanent. It cannot be undone.

To resolve duplicate titles:

  1. Log in to Destiny as a district-level administrator.
  2. From the primary navigation bar, select Applications menu icon. > Classroom Library. The Classroom Directory page appears.

  3. From the sidebar, click Title Management.
  4. At the top-right corner, type a title or author in the field. A list of search results appears.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Select two or more title records you want to resolve.
      1. At the bottom of the page, click Resolve Duplicates.

      2. From the pop-up that appears, select the title record that you want to keep, and then click Continue.

      3. From the pop-up that appears, make any desired changes, and then click Save. A message lets you know the duplicate records have been resolved.

    • Select the title record you want to resolve.
      1. Click Edit Title.

      2. From the Improve Title Details tab, select the desired cover image, or click This.

      3. Click Update Info.
      4. Click Save.

        Note: If the title you selected matches another book, you'll be prompted to merge the records. From the pop-up that appears, select the record you want to keep, and then click Save.

This process results in one title record on the Title Management page and in your classroom libraries.
